Tenor guitars, first built in the 1920's, are gaining a resurgence in popularity. Tuned CGDA like a tenor banjo, DGBE like the top four stings of a standard guitar or baritone ukulele, or GDAE similar to an octave mandolin. This body style can also be built with six stings as a "baby" travel guitar.
